Using try catch to catch exceptions?

In my C# code I catch certain exceptions and I use these exceptions to prompt the user for the input. If the user does not respond within a certain time (i.e. 30 seconds) I would like to prompt again.
I was thinking of something like this:

Is this a good way to do this? I would like to know whether this would work or not.

You are trying to do two things, but they are not related to each other.

You catch some exception that may arise and then you want to ask the user to re-enter information. This is not what exceptions are used for.
You would like to catch some exceptions that might be thrown from your code and then re-throw them (without any additional information that your code might have to offer). This is not what exceptions are used for.

If you want to catch specific exceptions that you are sure will be thrown by your code, you should instead do that by writing a specific method or sub-class.
You can’t know that the user might not respond. You cannot tell that just by using try/catch. You need to put in additional logic to do that.

Just install the software and it will be ready to use. Please note that the Color Spy software is not licensed under GPL.

Features of Color Spy:
If you press the “Color Spy” button, it will open the “Color Spy window”. This window contains the following controls:
