The programs’ performance are generally very good and occasionally they feel slow. They both do a solid job on my desktop iMac and my Surface Pro (i5). Their performance on my older iPad Pro (12.9 inch) and the iPhone 7 Plus I use for these tests is much slower. While on the iPhone these image editing programs feel slow and sluggish. The more images you load the slower you go. This is the inevitable complexity of doing any image editing with any traditional computer program. When you add more elements you get more to do and more to juggle. You get the idea. For these reasons, I will only feature the iPhone (7 Plus) and iPad Pro (12.9) results in this review.

Start using the crop tool any time you want to trim off the picture area of an image to start cropping from the top or bottom. In contrast, the other two pieces of software separate adjustments into two. In Lightroom, the adjustments that are separated are color changes and white balance adjustments. If you choose Lightroom, you may not be able to accomplish the same effect in Photoshop.
