But there are good news: you may be able to achieve much of the same desired effect, by going into preference, and opening your All Pics page and then View Tab, and then select an album. I can’t add photos manually as in Lightroom, but it does seem to pull photos off your camera/phone from albums at a decent rate. I think you get idea, just try it out and see how fast it is. There is also an attribute filter app coming out from BestPixV.in, and it would be real nice if you made it work in PS, just my opinion.

I upgraded to Lightroom 5 and I’m quite happy with it…but…I have to say that quite often I would prefer the old version of lightroom for all my projects since the new one crashed every time. It’s like they could not make it work properly on a retina display and it takes a lot of memory. I think they should have released lightroom 5.1 for the retina displays, when they introduced the new features without the release of the 5.0 version. I’m not going to upgrade again… because I did not really noticed a performance gain. So I’ll continue working with my old one. I guess I should consider finding a new processor for my thunderbolt port.

The Library tool is brilliant! Very, very neat feature. It’s much like the old version of Lightroom. I was wishing it was exactly the same, and it’s really not difficult to create your own collections based on tags, etc…I created a few just before the new version came out and used it for a bit, but then…it crashed. Maybe it will be fixed when the final version comes out I don’t know. Probably not. I’m so happy for the new version though, its awesome!

While we’re talking about collaboration, the latest version of the collaboration features in Lightroom 5 are useful for those of us whose employers stake us to our computers at home as well. While our employers likely love how fast and easy we can open spreadsheets from within the Lightroom document, we like how fast and easy it is to update them from anywhere. In other words, these features are ideal for remote workers. And, now, we have remote access to all of our work, even if we don’t use Lightroom at work.

The Photoshop engine has been Photographers’ creative platform for the last 25 years. This year, Apple and Google made it clear that mobile was going to be the driving force of our industry. We knew this day was coming, but it got us thinking about how we could use our expertise with mobile to create an additional efficient and more creative mobile application that gives you quick access to all the key tools you need to get shots on the go.
