It’s true that the new features aren’t a magic wand for designers to instantly create amazing comics. It’s still a drawing tool, and it will still take you many steps to create comics. There are still so many more creative apps and ways to design a comic book, but they don’t need Photoshop to create comics.

Adobe used to create great experience, and in spite of their changes, packages are simple to use, and it was always easy to use the entire family of Adobe programs. The new web browser, powered by Adobe EdgeHTML, is based on the Chromium open source project, and uses native HTML5 and web application technologies for faster page loading and rendering. It also embraces the latest features of HTML and CSS3, and renders SVG content directly. Adobe EdgeHTML includes much of the same performance enhancements as the Adobe AIR platform, whereas the browser integration in Adobe AIR CS5.5 is based on the web browser, and Adobe AIR API layers (essentially, pixel-by-pixel level access to the graphics pipeline, and much more).

The Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 replaces the original features of 3D wrapped around the traditional web browser, and provides an immediate, seamless user experience. Also, Photoshop Creative Cloud users have access to a subscription-based service enabling access to a wide range of industry standard Creative Cloud applications such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Extended, and the Adobe Design Suite. Although the new web browser shares some of the underlying technology from Adobe AIR on the desktop, it differs in how it is designed to work with the tools included in the Creative Suite.

Adobe continues to enhance expertise and usability in Photoshop and elements, such as Photo Effortlessly Enhance (below). There are also new fun and creative features of Photoshop such as a new Live Drawing tool (below the side bar) that brings the magic of drawing in Illustrator to Photoshop. Live Draw tools allow artists to add digital layers and fine-tune the application of their images to create paintings and drawings in style. And…

Adobe Illustrator CC will add new collaboration features such as the ability to track cursor movements and link dynamic layers together. This will allow artists to create truly collaborative artwork by enabling them to directly view and work on a shared document and artwork from any screen. This will allow for on-the-fly collaboration throughout the process of creating multiple artwork versions online.

Adobe Premiere Pro will be updated with a set of features that encourage creativity with the technology of AI and machine learning, which can automatically detect the direction of a person’s gaze.

The best role for Photoshop is to unleash creatives’ imaginations. In addition to helping designers with creating visual artistry, Photoshop is also a robust asset manager to organize and archive your creative production. Other tools like Lightroom and Capture One focus on organizing the actual images. In both cases, improving the photography experience is a distant secondary goal that you would only have to use once. They don’t have to be Photoshop or Mac-only either because the iOS version of Photoshop Elements does a great job in that space, too.

Elements allows you to create a layered file, which allows you to work on different parts of one photo at the same time, all in one file. Layered files are great when you want to create a complicated image from multiple parts of different photos, but it can take some time to get set up.

Elements offers a broad set of features, including dozens of filters, custom shape tools, text tools, and a huge library of prebuilt elements, all designed to allow you to achieve professional-quality results.

The feature available in the Elements update is the new Photomerge including Resolve Merge. It is modeled after the paid software Resolve. This will be a free update for most people with Photoshop CC or Photoshop ei.

We have seen a huge rise in demand for mobile file editing software over the past several years. Since Apple introduced iPhoto, we have seen growth for this type of app not just from consumers, actually from the professional photo editing community. Big and small agencies are using these types of apps because of the simplicity and ease of use. This all started with iPhoto, but now with the release of Photoshop Touch it has even further popularized these apps.
