In many respects, today’s review is much less than a Photoshop review because, frankly, I’m examining workflow functions that already exist in the software. As such, this review is not to tell customers whether or not they should upgrade. It’s to give them a starting point regarding the benefits of the latest version of Photoshop and some of the features included with the Signature Edition. As for myself, I’m looking back to the past to see how Photoshop has revolutionized my professional and personal image-editing work. The software was first released in 1987 and now a quarter of a century on, it remains one of the most powerful tools ever created. You have to buy it piecemeal to get the best out of it, however. You can save money by buying a version designed for use with a Macintosh (it’s compatible with PC and Mac), or if you can spare the cash that route is well worth your time. You need to buy upgrades to get the most from the software. The software will not stand still forever, and the developer will eventually remove the functionality of the software unless it is used. It will take time to persuade the world that you can use software like Photoshop.

The Quick Selection tool lets you select sections of a layer using the standard or inverse selection from the Select tool. The Object > Transform > Warp tool lets you apply distortions to your image’s shapes, such as distorting them, pushing them, and pulling them.

The most impressive thing about this program is that elements is well organized to facilitate what each tool does. You can simply choose your image and style it by menu, by the tools available. You can even choose to edit by layers to work on particular parts of your image. Once you have finished, you can save your image in various formats and sizes.
