Dreamcatcher Digital is probably the highest-priced (and most feature-heavy) app we’ve reviewed in the last year. It is more than capable of handling all of the image edit needs of a professional photographer. It is a powerful toolset, with an abundance of useful options, some of which are not available in the other programs that share a similar feature set. There are many productive tools within the app, for both the more experienced and less experienced photographers. For us, a large part of the value was watching the app in action. As we went through many stages in the editing process, we were glad to have the app as an unimpeded reminder of what was already applied and what effects were still needed.

We’re looking forward to even more amazing things from the Creative Cloud. I can’t wait to see what customers are doing with the tool suite. The online documentation is a breeze to walk through. The app is intuitive and easy to use. They’ve been listening to customer feedback and have responded to the requirements of smaller business photographers that also need easy-to-use software without paying Adobe’s outrageous license fees. They’ve made it usable without forgetting those of us who need more power. I can’t wait for the whole package to be delivered to us… we’ll be off and running with these tools.

Cracking Adobe Photoshop is a bit more involved, but it can be done. First, you’ll need to download a program called a keygen. This is a program that will generate a valid serial number for you, so that you can activate the full version of the software without having to pay for it. Bringing such threading to the desktop is a very welcome upgrade to Photoshop integration into tools like OS X. When I review images in a folder, I see my notes on the attached image, that I’m reviewing, with any comments at the top of the page. While I’d often just add my review comment to the original written notes, this new “magazine view” is a welcome addition.

In Photoshop CC on the desktop, you can now selectively show the color pickers for the Layers panel. For each individual layer, you’re able to choose an actual color for the layer (pink, yellow, orange for example), match the layer’s existing color, or use the histogram for the layer.

One of the most important requirements we had for Photoshop is to integrate with the iPad and Apple Pencil. When we tested the pen, we noticed that it’s not as precise as you’d expect. It reads every line as a curve. This limitation exists only in PS and in 2017. On the iPad Pro, the Line tool is only a mouse, anyway. The text tool works great, however.

Photoshop Sketch is the final, most powerful app in Photoshop’s sketchbook. Sketch is a powerful tool and adds a lot of flexibility. Over the years, you’ll discover that some of those sketches become complex, powerful retouching tool-kits that you use to polish your images. Sketch is the last step of that process and, as a result, it also brings a lot of unique challenges. Perhaps the biggest challenge is managing a collaborative creative environment: can I trust that what I’ve drawn is actually correct? This comes down to the fundamentals that I screengrabs are not what a human sees, and that’s where Sketch’s layers and groups come in.

What It Does: When choosing a specific brush in your brush palette, you can use the Set Brush tool just to select a brush or you can use the Set Brush tool to change the shape of the brush you are currently using. The Set Brush can be used to create a flat brush, or you can use the Multiply Brush to get a painting brush.

The focus of this book is on the transition to native APIs in desktop Creative Cloud native products (like Photoshop and Illustrator) after the transition in the mobile products (Photoshop Lightroom and InDesign) did not experience any serious issues. Fast, controllable and especially invisible Photoshop makes it possible for users to put all sorts of interesting stuff into their images. While you might not be able to change its risk factors and effects, you can certainly fake the effects in ways that you wouldn’t have been able to do with traditional adjustment layers, like inversion and perspective. Photoshop is bringing back this very useful feature, dubbed Layer Comps (located in the Tools menu, under the Layers panel’s Effects category). Besides normal, eraser and special layers, you can also now use multiply and screen layers, which lets you seamlessly blend two photos together. This last layer type is the sort of thing we hope we will see more of in the next few versions.

Adobe Photoshop Elements is currently available in the U.S. only on the Windows operating system; it will launch initially in Europe in October, before making its way to Australia (>Search<). Adobe also introduced Photoshop Express for iPhone and the iPad, providing basic editing capabilities for editing, social sharing and photo chatting. Adobe recently negotiated a deal with Facebook that will enable their $16.7 billion acquisition to be reflected across Adobe Creative Cloud.
