Can anyone please help me figure out the following problem…
I am trying to automate the scheduling of 200 Employees and 10 Shifts on 3 days of the week and 25 days of the year. I am trying to do this in MS Access. I have come up with a solution to schedule 7 days a week, the program checks the calendar for the next available day and adds the correct shifts to the employee. The problem I am having is that when it comes to the days that do not have 7 shifts it does not allow the shifts to be added to the employee. For example, there are 8 days that do not have 7 shifts. The correct shifts are added to the employee, however it does not add the required shifts to the next available day because there is no available day. Therefore the employee does not get scheduled for the correct days of the week. Can anyone please help me figure this out? I am not very familiar with Access programs. Please help… Thanks in advance.
