You can monitor the IP address of the default gateway and be actively notified in two ways when the IP changes, by receiving an email or updating a DynDNS hostname.
More features and tools
The Intervals dialog allows you to specify how often you want to check the IP address. The smaller the intervals the sooner you will be notified of an IP address change.
Gateway IP Monitor puts itself to the system tray, when you minimize the application. When you right click the icon you see a context menu that allows you to perform a variety of tasks without having to open up the application.
