I have been using LR5.0rc and find it much slower than previous versions for large number of files. If I work in the Show Preview feature while working on a large file, it takes forever for it to open Photoshop. The 4K preview works well enough. It would be useful to know the previous functionality has been ported.

I tried to import a series of photos into LR from a file on a NAS drive. All of them got imported but when I opened some of the files, the preview in the main window had no image data. When I hit the file size box in the File/Properties dialog box, the file size was the same size as the preview. Why is it that the preview data did not import into the file?

For my needs, I only use the Percentage of Page for showing up in the Details panel, and am very happy that you have made that feature work well. I had just tried a test render with my Mac 2.02GHz i7 Core. I set the percentage to be 50%, set my image to be 100%, clicked Render and watched what appeared and how long it took. The percentages were met with no problems, and I got some great previews. But wait, the render went well, but only 50%, in the Details panel, was the final rendering. Why does it take so long? What’s going on? I don’t even know what to ask. Keep up the good work!
