While the changes are certainly welcome, their value depends greatly on whether they’re fixed or improved in future, and on what effect they have on core editing. In this regard, the upgrade might just be worth the upgrade cost.

What’s new in Photoshop CC 2018’s photo editing features include new colors, a new smoothing filter, and a new Refine tool. The Refine tool gives you an extensive set of controls for bringing out finer details in your photos, and it’s designed to work with a wider selection of images.

We look forward to seeing what the future holds for both the Creative Suite and Photoshop. Given the time invested by reviewers and product managers, the introduction of new AI features can’t be far away.

The biggest change I’ve seen so far is how Photoshop Elements 2018 compares with the Elements 2013 program. It’s not just about features carried over. It’s how the features are changed. I will cover some of them in other sections.

If you are trying to capture a blue sky, avoid giving that sky a yellow or orange hue by using a color temperature of around 4500 Kelvin to minimize any strain on your camera’s ISO. If you are using a newer DSLR camera with an APS-C sensor, as many DSLRs do have this option. If you are using an older camera with the same sensor size, that may not be as easy to adjust. Your best bet is to use a tiltable and reflectorized dome light, which will naturally give you a color temperature of around 4520k.

When shooting landscapes, it is important to keep your shutter speed close to 1/1000th of a second or higher because that way you will not lose too much light. Unfortunately, many modern DSLR cameras do not have that ability built-in. If that is the case, you are going to have to open up your aperture to achieve that. Your best bet is to stick with F/2.8 or higher to ensure your shutter speed is high enough.

When using a tripod to shoot some still images, you have to lower your shutter speed. The reason for this is that slow shutter speeds will ensure motion blur in the photo. By lowering your shutter speed you are going to lose some light while ensuring that no motion blur is introduced. If you are fine with the blurred motion that might be cool, but if you are looking for some crisp details and sharp focus, a shutter speed of 1/30th of a second or less is needed.

However, this does make sense that you would want to have multiple computers. You could set up 2 more computers which would run these programs and would be perfect if you were a freelancer, or had friends drop by and needed access to the programs. It’s just one more reason to think about investing in a powerful computer. And you can always upgrade your CPU or RAM when needed.

Do you remember the last time you saved a JPEG or TIFF to a different location? When corrected properly, respectively, a RAW image file will contain metadata that will determine the type of gamut that the image has.
