I always look at the different Photoshop selections and what each one offers. For example, in the Cropping tool, the straighten and rotate selections are great for quickly and easily cropping images. While the straighten and rotate selections are found in the Photoshop app itself, the Transform Selection which allows you to select and customize a different setting is the option I use all the time when I am cropping. In the Pantone tool, I was not sure which one I liked the best prior to learning about the Pantone color codes. Once I learned this, I now prefer the Color Picker. It has a ton of categories and even a smart color picker so you don’t have to keep scrolling.
I use the Markup tool to remove background clutter, sharpen edges, and correct color or lighting in an image. In the Clean Up tool, I use the Spot Healing Brush to clean backgrounds up and spot clean shadows and highlights. In the Image Processor, I use the Spot Removal tool for removing minor blemishes that others may not be able to see.
I know what you are thinking, 16gb of RAM? Man, I should upgrade my computer. That is just fine. My computers run fine and I don’t see any reason to change it. I have used my PC running Intel i7 6GB of RAM with an SSD for years and haven’t had anything go wrong and it rarely maxes out my RAM even with hundreds of layers open and multiple applications running at the same time.

Today at Adobe MAX, Adobe is unveiling a range of breakthrough features in the latest version of the world’s leading image editing application. Adolphus Brown, senior product manager at Adobe, shows how dark areas of an image can be made lighter, and bring out the details of a subject through the power of what Adobe calls “AI technology.”
“Adobe Sensei is a deep learning algorithm that can significantly reduce the workload and training time needed to train AI models,” he said. “With the new Edit for Review in Photoshop features, users can keep up with essential work on the go, and gain real-time feedback and inspiration.”
Using this edit workspace, users can focus on editing while their collaborators can Preview and Iterate without leaving Photoshop. As the collaborator uploads images to a Share link, Adobe works out the matching process with the “edit” client using Adobe Sensei.
“Earlier we introduced Editor for Review, allowing greater collaboration,” said Brown. “Now with Edit for Review, users can work on finishing images while collaborating and being updated in real time when other users are viewing their images, including changing selection accuracy.”
Another first for Photoshop: A mobile photo editor that lets you edit a picture on your iPhone, in the format you share with friends. The results come back directly back to Photoshop, where you can do edits, which can then be shared as a photo or an animated GIF.
