Adobe permits discounting of subscriptions and one-time licenses of the upgrade through major photosharing services like Flickr, Google+, Smugmug and more. I’d recommend that you upgrade from Lightroom 4.3 to Lightroom 5, even before Adobe officially announced it.
Other changes include reloading of the original document’s color space without the sense of rendering. New brushes can be used for refill purposes, and there is a nifty feature where you can import image sequences as a DVD project (however, I’ve only tried this with a Blackmagic Design URSA mini, so I cannot vouch for whether this works on all cameras). I also noticed motion blur has been improved. Also, one of the new features I was most excited about is the improved masking capabilities. All facets of masking have been improved. Load and unload masking, layer masks and everything in between can now be tuned with settings. You can create smart masks, too, which are now based off the layer’s brightness and transparency. Layers can also be adjusted via a gradient histogram feel. You can also now “arrow” to specific areas of an image without having to select them. That makes it easier than ever to add special effects at specific areas. My favorite feature to send my clients is the new Lens Correction function. It is a cool feature, and the results are fantastic. There is a new layer entry button which opens the Layer Tips window, giving you a quick snapshot of the layer’s properties. New guidelines and guides are easy to use and really make a difference in image composition. I will try to not forget any changes. This release of Photoshop has garnered even more advances than Lightroom, which still has an excellent (and innovative) feature set. This release is promised for availability in late August. Lightroom should be available that day, too.
If you’re working from home or have a home office, the best monitor to match your needs can be calculated and be tailored on the go. For starters, I’d recommend a 40″ or bigger. This is important for digital artists that use a computer in a large room. For them, it’s important that the computer be high enough to not feel cramped. Below 46″ you’ll start to notice a lack of productivity.

With Share for Review, LOBs and marketers can collaborate on the same PSD file, from multiple locations, with a simple click.
Share for Review is a new collaborative live editing platform that makes any Photoshop file available for live edits via the Share panel in Creative Cloud. While Edit and Share works independently, Photoshop allows these two applications to communicate through the DocumentSynchronization feature. LOBs can create a new file by sending it to Share Panel, and then copy the DocumentSynchronization information to their Edit Panel for further editing. Clean Share functionality enables LOBs to reset DocumentSynchronization status while share is in progress.

Editors working on PSD files can now use the layer clipping options to preserve layers when merging PSD files with other files. Previously the layer clipping options were only available for PSD files when using merge layers, or Merged Groups.
Adobe is also launching their new platform, Adobe Experience Cloud (AEC), to provide a consistent, unified and adaptable solution for all designers and creative teams. AEC provides a range of services that build on the powerful features of Adobe’s Creative Cloud applications and launches with a library of 100 of the best-selling commercial templates on the market. Users can import and manage templates, work with assets in AI and SL and collaborate with others, all in a single, web-based system.
Additionally, on February 28, 2020, Adobe will discontinue the Adobe Character Animator Plug-in for Photoshop. On June 24, 2021, it will also stop support for Windows and Mac OS. Photoshop will continue to receive monthly updates.
