The Convolver was developed to be a convolution VST plugin.
Convolver cannot load large impulse response files. Small impulse responses work fine, but using large files requires a block-wise processing algorithm.

Convolver is a convolution VST plugin for Windows and Macintosh. It generates an impulse response for the selected L, C, and R channel in the case of stereo audio.
Convolver is not a typical convolution filter. The impulse response generated is a single value, not a set of complex numbers.
The impulse response data can be saved as a matrix, so you can use a similar algorithm in the future.
For each channel, the desired frequency is set.
The width of the main window is 250×250 pixels. The main window and the size of the selection window for choosing the main frequency can be changed via the Options panel.
It is possible to disable the visual selection of the main frequency, so that you can increase the impulse response file size.

How it works:
I take a buffer of a few thousand samples (2 seconds of a 44.1kHz recording) and divide it into 128 bins. Each bin is 500ms long and bin centers are spaced by 1ms.
Each bin is processed by the convolver by multiplying the bin and the impulse response and then taking the modulus of the result (remember: the output of the convolver is in the real domain).
The result of the modulus is then multiplied by the input buffer which then generates the output buffer.
I create an infinite loop to continuously loop through the buffer in a block-wise manner (this makes the algorithm able to process large files). This block-wise processing is then processed by the first order IIR convolver.
If you compare the impulse response to the output impulse response, you can clearly see how much more energy is being generated by the IIR convolver (hence the input buffer being multiplied by a modified impulse response).
Can I still use the LFSR table?
Yes, you can still use the LFSR table as before.

From left to right: the impulse response, the input buffer (note that the LFSR table is also multiplied by the convolver’s impulse response) and the output buffer (again, the input buffer is multiplied by the convolver’s impulse response).

IMP is a convolution/deconvolution VST plugin.
It can convolve or deconvolve small impulses into and out of complex waveforms.
However, it cannot handle large impulse response files.
So it has to be used in chunks (filtering one block at a time).
IMP can filter impulse responses in all three ways:
a) Time domain
b) Frequency domain
c) Sliding frequency domain
a) Time Domain
NOTE:IMP only applies the filter one impulse at a time, and does not apply any modulation effects.
For effects please check ConvolutionPlus.
IMP requires a rate filter input (i.e. a <number> Hz triangular filter).
The output rate is calculated automatically.
A sample rate of <number> * 44.1 = 44.1 kHz is required for the convolver to work properly.
This is the case for both Windows and Mac OS X.
If the size of the input file exceeds the amount of samples in a single block, then a header is added at the beginning of each new block.
IMP can run a single convolution filter per <number> block.
In each <number> block a new buffer is created and initialized to <number> samples.
A buffer is a circular array with <number> samples.
IMP is using a double-precision internal sample buffer.
A sample data buffer can be resized up to 2 ^ + 1 = 3 samples at a time.
However, it is recommended to resize the buffer smaller if possible.
The input buffer can be initialized with no samples to enable zero-padding.
When starting to convolve a waveform,
a sample buffer should be added to the input buffer.
IMP uses a sample buffer of the size <number> for convolution.
If the input buffer is smaller than <number>, then input samples are zeroed.
The sample buffer is then filled with data of the size <number> (rounded to an integer).
IMP can apply a filter for up to <number> time-domain blocks.
At each new time-domain block start the convolution process is stopped by changing the internal state of the plugin to ready for the next convolution.
b) Frequency Domain
NOTE: When running the frequency domain convolution function, IMP does not support filtering multiple frequencies in a block.
