Houston Police: Arrest Made For Houston Drivers Being Shot At Twice In Two Days
Houston police are investigating two separate shootings targeting Houston drivers after victims say they were shot at while driving.
On May 30, Treshawn Walker of Houston was driving home from work when he was shot in the back of the head and lost control of his car. The Houston man says he was driving on FM 770 and the shooter crossed the roadway.
“He came up and got in the vehicle. He pulled up right behind me and he got right in the driver’s side door. As I was turning around to look at him, he shot me in the back of my head,” he said.
Walker had a gunshot wound near his head that penetrated the back of his skull.
“I believe he had a 9mm on him. They hit me so hard that I lost my headpiece.”
He says the suspect shot him about 15 times.
“There was just a lot of shots, like, a lot. It’s crazy because I was shot 15 times. At least 14 were in the back of my head.”
Houston police tell WBRZ the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. The suspect then got into a dark colored car and sped away.
After this happened, officers say someone else was targeted.
“We had two separate instances where we had two different people that were targeted while driving,” said A.C. Roper, with the Houston Police Department.
On June 2, a 34-year-old man was shot after his car was stolen. His car was later found abandoned about a mile away from where the incident occurred.
According to Houston Police, shots were fired at him while he was driving northbound on FM 1499 near the Intercontinental Airport.
“This male victim was just shot. He was an innocent victim, shot in the back as well as in the buttocks,” said Roper.
