I have seen a few online books, movies or other types of documents that are perfectly readable on the web browser in pdf format. I have been doing some research and I have been trying to see if I can find one. The only thing I found was a bunch of “flash player” based plugins. Is there such thing as one already embedded in the browser? Is it a PNG type of image? I have looked on Google and I found something like that looks promising, but I am having problems with my javascript.

Nope, that’s not possible with the current browsers. Because PDF is not a web browser’s native type, it is not possible to download and display it within a web page like HTML is.

Should we develop dll or is it ok to give source code of all our application?

I am developing desktop application. My question is, in terms of security and maintaining security should the source code of my applications be publicly available? If I do it, will the possibility of someone reverse the compilation of the dll, and use it for malicious purposes be reduced?
I mean, if I create dll and give it to public, what can they do with it? I mean, if I use visual studio 2008, it gives the source code automatically when I compile the application and if I use visual studio 2010, it does not give the source code.

Build in a check for these things:

Include in the source code a note stating that the source code is not guaranteed to be valid. This will most likely give the person who “uses” the source code plenty of room to trip over the actual dll/exe that it will try to use.
Check to see if there are any signs that the dll has been tampered with, or that it is not fully clean. (cracking team likes this). Note that some analyses are absolutely free, some cost money, and some require a certain level of access to your system to do.
If you don’t have the source code, there is no way to check to see if the code has been tampered with. If you do have the source code, you can check your code. When you compile, you
