KEYMACRO is a keyboard macro recorder. It can record your mouse, keyboard, and clipboard actions. You can select a region on your desktop and use it as your record area. It also supports regular expressions and the find-replace feature. You can create a macro, edit it, or record your actions as needed. You can set it to start recording when you press a key or set a specified area on your desktop as the recording area. You can also define a regular expression as a search string. KEYMACRO records the action when the string is found, and repeats the action whenever the string is found during a macro playback.
View your macros
You can view the recorded macros by pressing Ctrl-M to show the Macros dialog. You can set the macro playback speed by pressing Ctrl-S. To start a macro playback, select a macro in the Macros dialog and press the Play button.
Record actions
You can record an action by dragging a marker onto your desktop and selecting an action from the drop-down list. When you use KEYMACRO to record, you can specify the recording options as needed, such as a desktop window that is to be used as the recording area and the actions that are to be recorded. You can also record a clipboard content (selection) by clicking on the clipboard icon. If you want to record the whole clipboard, you need to first paste some data into it before starting the recording.
You can record macros with the recording options, such as the record time, start time, end time, and start window. You can edit a macro by selecting the macro, clicking on the Edit button and entering the editing options. After editing, the macro is saved automatically, and the icon that is used to play back the macro changes. You can delete a macro by selecting the macro, clicking on the Delete button, and clicking on the OK button to confirm the deletion.
Keystroke recorder
KEYMACRO has the capability of recording keystrokes. When it is recording a keystroke, you can specify the recording options such as the recording time, end time, start window and end window. You can also specify whether the recorded keystrokes will be highlighted (for example, pressing Ctrl+Shift+R), or hidden (for example, pressing Ctrl+F3).
