How to get a code-snippet from a string without using python-docstring?

As the title says, I want to find a code snippet from a string by searching for defined Python tags, e.g. doctest, a tags.
The problem is that I need the code snippet itself, not the docstring which I already could read with:
from docutils import nodes
from docutils.nodes import *

def parse_tag(elem):
“””extracts a code snippet from a single tag”””
name = elem.name
if name

The Secret Service says a man with genitals sewn to his body apparently showed no interest in attacking officers when he was detained.

Baltimore police say the 26-year-old suspect, who was covered from head to toe with fake blood, was carrying a small sword and three pairs of black shoes. He was arrested on Wednesday after the Monday arrest of a man who told police he wanted to kill President Barack Obama.

The Secret Service says the man was stopped by a plainclothes officer who noticed him as he walked up to the White House grounds on a bicycle with a black backpack and a fake blood-stained knife.

The officer ordered the suspect to drop the knife and cuffs fell to the ground, but the man just kept moving forward with his backpack and knife.

The officer saw a brief exchange of words before the man dropped the knife.

“The subject stopped, put the knife down and… appeared to have something at his groin area,” Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said. “However, he did not react or show any threat to the officer.”

The man was taken to a police station, where officers took off his pants and shoes. The pants turned out to be someone else’s.

No additional charges were filed and the man was released, Donovan said.

Donovan said the Secret Service and the FBI are reviewing the case and there were no signs the man had intended to hurt anyone.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the man tried to remove the pants and shoes.

Donovan said the man’s motive is not known.

Police said the knife seized was covered in fake blood.
