Using the Content Aware Fill tool on a real fine piece of work is a real luxury and, considering its limited usefulness, ultimately not that rewarding.

I am not against the idea of reinventing tools that Photoshop users have already mastered. Prior versions of the software did feel bloated sometimes, to be sure, but even then, it kept pace with the times. Photoshop CC 2015 is not shaping up to be the case. In fact, it seems that some of the compromises made for pragmatic reasons are interfering with the process of creating impressive work, perhaps even to the point of hindering creativity. Change in Photoshop is almost always a good thing, of course, and one that keeps the software relevant. However, I have to question how much Photoshop has actually improved over the past decade, rather than keeping up with its market share.
