All of these features are pretty self-explanatory, so I won’t spend much time discussing them. And let’s face it, if something like this feature is available in Elements, why wouldn’t Adobe make it available with Photoshop too? So far we have not been told how this feature stacks up against the $900 Canon Digital Photo Professional software, but not unexpectedly, most professionals will still be seeking the features only available with the powerful Adobe Photoshop.

There are certainly Live Tools in Photoshop that are particularly well applied to the Mac, even if they are not entirely new. For example, Paragraph Styles and Type Tools are new in this release, and when working in a page-layout program, it is a time-saver to have the ability to apply these features to already existing text types.

There are three main types of layers.
